Welcome to CAAN
WHO WE ARE:
Founded in 1992, CAAN is a non-profit organization that represents nurses from all 43 working centres throughout Canada.

WHERE WE WORK:
The Apheresis RNs work in: stem cell units, photopheresis units, pedeatric units, dialysis units, hematology units, medical day care units, throughout the hospital or in a specific apheresis centre.

HISTORY:
Canadian Apheresis Group, a national volunteer organization of Apheresis Practitioners, was founded in 1980 under the auspices of national Health and Welfare, Canada. In 1992 the Canadian Association of Apheresis Nurses was affiliated with the Canadian Apheresis group. The CAAN is a non-profit organization that was officially registered in Ottawa in November 2007, thanks to the effects of Kim Palmer RN and Pat McGrath RN.
